Groove returned from SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 with a strong pipeline of follow-up conversations, better ties across partner networks and a more focused perspective on the main drivers behind operator growth. The three-day event, from September 29 to October 1 at Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena, has united gaming and betting professionals from all over the globe to discuss interesting matters for operators as well as technology, regulation, payments and affiliate strategy.

For Groove, the most valuable insights came from the meetings around that agenda. Operators and providers were looking for practical ways to enter new markets, launch relevant content faster and manage a growing set of regulatory and commercial requirements without adding operational complexity. Those discussions closely matched their focus on giving partners broad content choice and centralised control through one integration.

Sunset Connections with Ace Alliance

Groove began the week before the exhibition doors opened. On September 28, the company partnered with Ace Alliance to run Sunset Connections, a dinner event exclusively for invited guests at SUD Lisboa. The setting contributed to the unique nature of the conversation, with drinks served during the sunset and dining with pleasant music, thanks to the informal setting that allowed discussion opportunities among executives and other stakeholders.

The form of the evening was emphasised. Guests had time to compare priorities, introduce partners, and identify where their plans overlapped before formal meetings began the next morning. By bringing the Groove and Ace Alliance communities together, Sunset Connections gave many of those conversations a useful head start and set a collaborative tone for the days that followed.

Yahale Meltzer, Chief Executive Officer at Groove, said:

Lisbon confirmed how much progress can happen when people have the time and space for a real conversation. Sunset Connections gave our partners that space before the Summit began, and the same energy carried into three productive days of meetings. We came home with stronger relationships, new opportunities and a clearer understanding of where our partners want to grow next.

What Are Operators Prioritising

Several ideas surfaced repeatedly during the Summit. Casino operators are looking to have fewer technical dependencies and to speed up the process of playing games. The main interest in the gaming market is still remaining in Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, but decisions about entering these markets depend on how compliant and reliable the means of payment are, in addition to the quality of the game catalogue.

This trend has changed the concept of aggregation. Now, the aggregator of casino games should be capable of more than connecting game titles together. It needs to support content discovery, market filtering, reporting, promotion and day-to-day portfolio management from one place. Groove’s platform addresses that need with a single API, a centralised back office, real-time reporting and engagement tools for jackpots, tournaments, free spins and targeted campaigns.

A Broader Content and Product Ecosystem

With over 20,000 titles, more than 200 provider partnerships, and widespread operations in over 60 locations, Groove’s aggregation ecosystem is constantly evolving and expanding. Monthly, over 100 games are included in the roster, and the integration of studios is no longer an issue.

Recent additions show that the company is growing its portfolio both in terms of diversity and volume. BEON brings crash and instant games aimed at fast-session audiences. DIJoker adds mobile-first casino content, while Big Daddy Gaming expands the slot catalogue with distinctive themes and familiar retention mechanics. Gorilla Entertainment contributes slots and a wider multi-product roadmap. Together, these partnerships give operators more ways to shape localised lobbies for different player preferences through the same Groove API.

The value of the concept became clearer during the time of the Lisbon conference. Developers have to consider compliance and financial restrictions while keeping pace. A single integration cannot remove every market challenge, but it can reduce repeated technical work and give commercial teams more freedom to test, activate and manage content as opportunities develop.

Continuing the Lisbon Conversations

Groove is now following up with the operators, providers and strategic partners who interacted throughout the week. The company will use those conversations to strengthen new content partnerships and enhance its support of emerging markets, developing the tools operators use to manage performance, promotions and compliance from a central platform.
